Colloque international interreligieux à Singapour : taoïsme et christianisme

Second Christian-Taoist Colloquium: 5-7 November 2018
The Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore together with the Taoist Federation of Singapore, are organizing the Second Christian-Taoist Colloquium in Singapore from 5-7 November 2018.
About sixty local, regional scholars and practitioners of interreligious dialogue from Christian and Taoist Traditions, are invited for the event; to be held at the Fr Jean Marie Beurel Centre, of the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd here in Singapore.
Bishop Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot, (Secretary) and Monsignor Indunil Janakaratne Kodithuwakku Kankanamalage (Undersecretary, Desk for Taoism) from the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue of the Vatican, together with Archbishop Felix Machado and Rev. Dr Peniel Rajkumar representing the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences and the World Council of Churches, Geneva, will be participating in the event.
The other participants are from: China, France, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, Switzerland and Taiwan. They will be joined by other participants from the civil and religious circles of Singapore.
The theme of “Christian and Taoist Ethics in Dialogue” is to be presented in its differing dimensions of:
i. “Today’s Crisis of Ethics and Hope for Tomorrow”
ii. “Taoist and Christian Responses to Crisis of Ethics”
iii. “Social Institutions and Transforming Human Persons”
iv. “Spiritual Development and Self-Cultivation”
v. “Global Ethics and Interdependency of All Human Beings”
vi. “Fostering a United and a Harmonious Society”
vii. “Emerging Orientations for Future Christian-Taoist Engagement.”
From such a rich and diverse area of coverage, a joint message is expected to be issued at the end of the event.
On the afternoon of 7th of November, the international participants will visit the Taoist Kew Ong Yah Temple, the Catholic parish of the Church of the Transfiguration and the Harmony in Diversity Gallery of the Ministry of Home Affairs and do a heritage trail that would further deepen their appreciation of the practices of interreligious dialogue in Singapore.

     36位来自天主教和道教界的新加坡本地学者、国际学者与信徒应邀出席此次大会; 他们分别来自:中国、法国、印度、马来西亚、韩国、新加坡、瑞士等。四川大学张崇富教授、上海李纪道长、苏州黄新华道长、道教之音隋玉宝道长、香港道教联合会梁德华主席等届时将参加此次会议。    

  “天主教与道教的伦理对话”主题将从以下七个维度呈现:
